ISPHAHAN ATTRACTIONS(SI-O-SE POL BRIDGE)

Si-O-Se Pol (Si O Se means 33 and pol means bridge by its 33 arches) is the longest bridge on Zayande Rood. It is also named as Allahvedikhan bridge, Shah Abbas‘s general who built the bridge. Allahverdikhan bridge connects Chahar Bagh Abbasi street to the southern gardens in the city and also serves as a dam. The religious ceremony of Khajshooyan and traditional ceremony of Abrizgan was held at this bridge. With 298m length and 14m width and built of bricks and stones, it is one of the masterpieces of Shah Abbas‘s era and has two sidewalks for pedestrians, one above and one underneath.
